image

We are proud to announce that the Florida Department of Education has honored CCHS as a FIVE STAR   school  for 08/09. This distinction is based on yearlong documentation and fulfillment of 29 criteria for exemplary community involvement. We thank our wonderful business and community Partners In Education for their commitment to the students and staff at CCHS. It due to these business partners, along with the SAC  committee, families, and the many hard working Parent and Student Volunteers that logged numerous hours, that allowed us to achieve this distinguished award for the second year!!

Congratulations to former AP Debra Kerns and her committee for doing an excellent job of due diligence in submitting the volumes of documentation involved in the application process. We are also proud and thankful for all the wonderful Partners and volunteers that make CCHS a great school! Go Cowboys!!

Two CCHS Debate Students Qualify for Nationals!!
At the CFL National Qualifying tournament held this past weekend at Michael Krop, two of our students qualified to nationals! The students are Spencer Shweky and Gabby Heinlein. Our CFL district includes all the schools in Miami Dade and Broward, and only six kids from each event qualify to Nationals, so this was a great accomplishment. We had one other student who finished as a semi-finalist, Matt Weinberg. But for Spencer and Gabby, on to Omaha!
