The distinction is based on yearlong documentation and fulfillment of 29 criteria for exemplary community involvement. We thank our wonderful business and community Partners In Education for their commitment to the students and staff at CCHS It due to these business partners, along with the SAC committee, families, and the many hard working Parent and Student Volunteers that logged numerous hours, that allowed us to achieve this distinguished award for the first time. PIE City of Cooper City Wins School Based Partnership of the Year Award!!
April 30th, at the 2009 BCPS Community Involvement Awards, Mayor Debby Eisinger and Principal Wendy Doll accepted the award for Partnership of the Year for the City's involvement with all the schools in the Cooper City Zone.
The combined schools of the Cooper City Innovation Zone (IZONE) are proud to have the city of Cooper City as a valued partner. This partnership has been effective because it has built a strong bond between the school and the community. Recognizing employee and student excellence is one of the many benefits of the partnership between the City of Cooper City and the schools in the Cooper City Innovation Zone. Each fall, Mayor Eisinger administers an official oath of office to the newly elected Student Government officers from the schools within Cooper City’s boarders. As part of this event, our students gain knowledge about the importance of civic duty and good citizenship. Each year, the Mayor and Cooper City Commissioners invite the Teacher of the Year the Non-instructional Employee of the Year, from each school, to a City Commission meeting where they are publicly recognized and congratulated for their achievements. The city of Cooper City is also very proactive in introducing initiatives to heighten the awareness of health and safety among students, parents and the general population. The list of City involvement in our schools is quite extensive and we are proud to have the City of Cooper City as an active Partner in Education.
Congratulations and many thanks for all that Mayor Eisinger and the City has done to support the education of our kids!! CCHS Wins FIRST Class 6A State Softball Title
