ADMINISTRATION

Students, make sure you carry your ID’s everyday to school. Not having an ID results in an obligation of $5.

Attention Students:  Due to safety concerns, students may not use the elevators in any of the buildings without prior administrative approval.  Please see your administrator in Student Affairs if you have a documented medical reason to get permission to use the elevator.

ATTENTION PARENTS / GUARDIANS:

As a reminder, should your child be tardy to school, it is necessary for you to do one of the following:

1. Call the attendance line at 754-323-0202 and report that your child will be arriving late to school.
2. You can either walk your child into school OR you may complete the absence/tardy form that were in the “
Code of Conduct” packet issued to you at the start of the school year.  Should you need a new copy of this form, it is available in the “Student Affairs” office. (See link below)

Your child MUST sign in at the “Student Affairs” office upon arrival to school. Should your child fail to sign in, his/her tardiness will NOT be excused.

YEARBOOK

Attention:  All CCHS students- picture day is next Tuesday September 7th.  Please come to school looking your best and ready to take your picture.  If you would like to purchase pictures, forms will be passed out this week in your first hour class or you can pick them up in student affairs.

 

Class of 2012

Hey Juniors, we need your support! If you have a good design for this years’ class T-shirts, submit your design on the class website or come by Ms. Perez’s room 3426 by September 10th.

 

Attention all swimmers & divers-*Practice Thursday September 2nd is mandatory in order to compete on Tuesday September 7th.  Please bring any incomplete paperwork to the pool deck tonight at 5:45 pm.  See you there

 

Debate

Attention Past and Future Debaters:  Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 7th in the auditorium.  Be sure to attend for info on the upcoming year and to sign up for the Blue Key Tournament at UF in October.  Thanks  (9/8)

 

ATTENTION SENIORS:

·         COLLEGE RECOMMENDATIONS – If you are a senior applying to schools outside the state of Florida, see Mrs. Friedlander to make an appointment for your college recommendation.  Appointments are during lunch, after school or during release time.  State university schools DO NOT REQUIRE a recommendation.  However, if you are deferred or denied admission, you may wish to submit a recommendation after the fact.

·         If you have graduation requirements to MAKEUP, see your counselor for a night school enrollment form.  Math and Social Studies classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday and English and Science classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday.  All classes are from 5:00pm – 9:15pm.  There is limited space so don’t delay.

 

SGA

Attention Freshman class of 2014!  Are you interested in running for class office?  There will be a mandatory elections meeting on Wednesday, September 8th in the old cafeteria after school.  You must attend this meeting in order to run for class office.  Positions include: president, vice president, treasurer, corresponding secretary, recording secretary and historian.  For more information stop by room 130 during 4th hour or after school.  Thanks!

 

Dance Team

So you think you can dance?  Come to the CCHS Dance Team Tryouts and show us what you’re got!  We’re taking it to the next level with new choreographers, hit music, and more!  Pick up a packet in the main office for more information and we will see you at tryouts!

 

JSU

The Jewish Student Union will be having its first meeting of the year this Friday, September 3rd in room 3415 at 2:30.  We look forward to seeing all our old members and we encourage all prospective members to come out and meet our group.  We anticipate a year filled with fun and excitement and new friends.  See you then.

 

Best Buddies

We know you’ve all been waiting and it’s finally here.  The Best Buddies Chapter meeting, our first of the year!  Don’t miss on sig ups at our meeting!  Come and make friendships that could last a lifetime.  September 7th after school in the Media Center.

Can you keep a beat?  Join Step Team! Come to our informational meeting under the red awning, Monday, September 13th after school for all the details and to sign up for tryouts.
